Gary Roberts pens Wigan Athletic contract

The 36-year-old was a free agent after his contract expired at the end of last term.

But after training with the squad over summer - and featuring in all three pre-season friendlies, scoring last Saturday's 3-2 win at Bradford - he is available for selection for the new campaign.

Roberts has featured 61 times in all competitions since arriving at the DW Stadium in 2017, and has been an important part of the squad for the past three seasons.

He'll continue to wear the number 18 shirt.
