The 34-year-old has endured a frustrating two-and-a-half years at the DW Stadium since his arrival from Norwich.
And with only six months remaining on his deal, he is now free to seek alternative employers.

“But with competition for places fierce, both Grant and the club felt it was best he moved on to get the first-team football he requires at this stage of his career.
