And the 22-year-old will need to pass a "number of tests" before he can be cleared to play again, with manager Leam Richardson admitting it is too soon to say whether he will be available for next Tuesday's League One clash with Sunderland.

Lang had to be helped off the field last Monday after a clash with Portsmouth's Sean Raggett.

"You have to have a certain number of tests and so the medical department are checking daily... whether he makes the Sunderland game, we're not sure yet."

Richardson, meanwhile, says it is "very unlikely" any of the club's long-term absentees may return in time to play a part in their remaining seven matches.

Chris Merrie, Tom Pearce, Kyle Joseph and Gavin Massey are among those sidelined with injuries.
