The crisis-hit club, who went into administration last week, still have a chance of preserving their Championship status even if they get hit with a 12 point deduction.

Kieffer Moore's first-half strike saw them move to 16th in the table.

Hull City, who are the next visitors to the DW Stadium, remain in deep trouble after losing 2-1 at Bristol City.

Elsewhere, Middlesbrough moved two points clear of danger after a 2-0 win at Millwall.

Birmingham will still be looking nervously over their shoulders after losing 3-1 at home to Swansea City. They are in 17th spot, but only four points above the bottom three.
