Graham Barrow, Peter Atherton and John Doolan will be plotting the downfall of the Dutch as well as donning the boots and blue-and-white shirt one more time, with Latics looking to repeat their success in last year’s fixture.

The ‘Three Amigos’ – Roberto Martinez, Jesus Seba and Isidro Diaz – will also be back on the same pitch for the first time in two decades.

While Seba spent only one year with Latics, Diaz and Martinez were part of the side that won the old Division Three title in thrilling fashion in 1996-97.

Graeme Jones, who scored 31 league goals that season is also confirmed to play for Latics, who will be skippered once again by FA Cup-winning captain Emmerson Boyce.

Also confirmed to play for Latics are Paul Scharner, Nathan Ellington, Stuart Barlow, Nicky Eaden, Graham Lancashire, Jason Jarrett, Ian Kilford and Kevin Sharp – with many more names to be announced over the next few days.

De Zeeuw’s Dutch side have also been active in the transfer market, securing the services of former Ajax star Angelos Charisteas – who scored the winning goal for Greece against Portugal in the final of Euro 204 – as a ‘ringer’.
