Live: Wigan Athletic 0 Sheffield Wednesday 1

Wouldn’t surprise me if someone walks tonight...referee losing control bit by bit...(familiar tale this year)...

Ludicrous officiating again here...Lang clearly gets barged off the ball...two yards in front of the lino...play on, so he gets to his feet and barges into Johnson as he clears the ball, flag goes straight up, free-kick and lucky not to be booked. So unnecessary.

Power booked for halting a Wednesday break, Whatmough and Gregory having a nibble at each other in back play...spicing up a bit this...

Great start to the second half...Power cross and Keane heads on to the roof of the net...Wednesday counter and Gregory smashes the ball against the bar.

...is under way...

HT Latics 0 Sheffield Wednesday 1.

Really good game, both teams going for it, difference at the break being a comedy/agonising own goal depending on your persuasion.

What a strike from Wil Keane, left footer from 25 yards, tipped round the post for a corner.

Almost 2-0 Wednesday, great strike from Callum Paterson, fine save from Amos, rebound from Jaden Brown over the top.

Fair play to Latics, almost level inside a minute, Wyke cross and Keane’s header forces a good save.

What a same for Max Power...no danger at all as the ball is played long and diagonal towards him from the Wednesday right-back position. But he heads it goalwards just as Ben Amos comes to claim it and...yep, one of those where the ball just beats the covering defence home.
