Palmer, 25, played under John Sheridan during a previous loan spell at Oldham, and jumped at the chance to be reunited with his old boss at the DW Stadium.

He started his career at Burton, joining Rotherham in January 2018 before moving to Swindon earlier this year.

Palmer will join up with his new team-mates on Monday, having completed the paperwork for the move down in Swindon.

Meanwhile, defender Cameron bids farewell after just a month with Latics, his contract having been due to expire after this weekend.

"We’d like to thank Nathan for his contribution at the start of this campaign and wish him well in his future career," a Latics spokesperson said.
