More movement for Wigan Athletic starlet?

Wigan Athletic striker Callum Lang is being tipped to make another loan move next season - this time to Scottish Premiership outfit Motherwell.

The 21-year-old is back in the north west after a successful campaign at League One Shrewsbury Town, which was curtailed by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Lang had previously spent time out at Morecambe and Oldham, gaining valuable first-team football under his belt.

Latics boss Paul Cook must decide - when this season is out of the way - whether Lang is ready to challenge for a place at Wigan, or needs more time elsewhere.

If it's the latter, Motherwell - who took Latics striker Devante Cole on loan last season - are waiting to stake their case, according to reports north of the border.

Much, of course, will depend on which division Latics are in next term, with Cook's men currently two points clear of the drop zone with nine matches to play.

Lang has made five appearances in total for Latics, including one substitute run-out off the bench.
