Wigan Athletic transfer news: Salford City eye Latics man as League One rivals target important transfer deals
Wigan drew 3-3 away to Rochdale in league One on Saturday, amidst the usual January transfer window rumour mill.
Indeed, the Latics’ rivals Hull City look likely to let an attacker leave during the window but are also said to be close to tying up an important contract deal.
Moreover, Plymouth Argyle have been rumoured to be about to make an interesting foray into the market, with a striker heavily linked with a move.
Cardiff City have seen a move for Sunderland loanee Dion Sanderson rejected. The Daily Mail claim that Cardiff approached Wolves over the possibility of Sanderson returning to South Wales this month.
But that approach has been rejected, with Cardiff now turning their attentions to Crewe Alexandra defender Perry Ng – who reports suggest has already been the subject of a £250,000 bid from the Bluebirds.
In Latics news, the club are said to be in for a centre-back – according to some outlets – with acting manager Leam Richardson desperately hoping the ankle injury sustained by Adam Long at Rochdale isn't as serious as first feared.
Loan stars Curtis Tilt (Rotherham) and Darnell Johnson (Leicester) having returned to their parent clubs
And there is also some interesting gossip surrounding one of Wigan’s regulars this season.
