Will they stay or will they go?

Lewis Macleod: Signed a one-year deal last summer following his release from Brentford, with whom hed failed to secure enough first-team football. And after a promising start to his Wigan career, has found opportunities similarly hard to come by. Having been sighted only once since December 7, looks to be on his way. Photo: Bp

Michael Jacobs: Currently Latics longest-serving player, having joined from Wolves in the summer of 2015. Has been a regular in the squad this season, often alternating with Gavin Massey for a wide forward role, and his retention beyond this summer would make sense for both parties. Photo: Bp

Chey Dunkley: In an even more precarious position than his colleagues, given he recently sustained a broken leg that will sideline him for some time. Had been negotiating a new deal with the club before fate intervened at Reading and, being a central figure in the dressing room, most obvious scenario would be for him to rehabilitate at Euxton with a view to penning a new deal when fully fit.
