Cook has been banned from the touchline for one game with immediate effect and fined £4,000 after accepting a couple of FA charges.

The Latics boss admitted using abusive and/or insulting words towards the match referee in the tunnel area at full-time of the Championship fixture against Middlesbrough on February 11.

He also admitted his language and/or behaviour in the match officials' dressing room amounted to improper conduct.

Cook has already served one touchline ban this season, a one-match suspension in December for reaching four yellow cards.
