Wigan Athletic 1 Birmingham City 1
A last-minute equaliser from Craig Davies rescued a deserved point for Wigan Athletic against Birmingham at the DW Stadium.
The Wales international was in the right place at the right time to convert Will Grigg’s cross from the right side of the penalty area.
Latics had fallen behind two minutes before half-time when David Davis prodded home from close range after Clayton Donaldson’s penalty had been saved by Adam Bogdan.
The Latics goalkeeper had made amends after bringing down Donaldson in the box for a stonewall spot-kick.
Latics rode their luck when Donaldson and David Cotterill hit the woodwork in either half.
But having thrown on all of his attacking big guns, Gary Caldwell will feel his men deserved their late equaliser that ensures they keep their unbeaten home record intact.
