Wigan Athletic administrators release 'positive' update
Talks with the new 'Preferred Bidder' of Wigan Athletic have continued after a 'positive weekend', according to the administrators charged with finding a buyer.
The update comes after the club's initial 'Preferred Bidder' failed to clear the first hurdle due to 'non-compliance in the first stage of exclusivity'.
"The joint administrators would like to inform Wigan Athletic supporters that discussions with the preferred bidder have continued on a positive note over the weekend and today, though at this stage there is no exclusive agreement," Monday's brief statement read.
"The joint administrators will further update supporters on Saturday following the appeal hearing on Friday, which is expected to take all day."
