But the Latics boss remains 'disappointed' with the whole situation.

"I've accepted the charge," said Cook. "But I don't want to say too much, I'm that disappointed."

Cook was last week charged with two breaches of FA Rule E3 following the Championship fixture against Boro on February 11.

It was alleged the Latics boss used abusive and/or insulting words towards match referee Oliver Langford in the tunnel area at the end of the fixture.

It was also alleged Cook’s language and/or behaviour in the match officials’ dressing room amounts to improper conduct.

The FA will announce the punishment in due course.
