The Daily Star Sunday and The Sun are both reporting Joe Williams is on the radar of Bristol City.

And Fulham are hoping to hijack Antonee Robinson's proposed switch to Sheffield United.

It is thought Middlesbrough are also keen on 23-year-old Williams.

Williams has a release clause in his contract following the club's relegation to League One, believed to be around £2.3m.

It is unclear whether bids will reach that amount but, with two clubs in the running, it increases the prospect of getting a good price.

Latics still owe Williams' former club Everton £350,000 in unpaid transfer fees for Williams, which needs to be paid before they can exit administration.

They also owe money on Robinson - thought to be around the £500,000 mark - which would easily be cleared if he makes a move to Sheffield United, who had bid around £2m for the left-back before Fulham came into the picture.

Administrators in charge of Latics' affairs are trying to reduce the football creditors' debt, explained here.
