Wigan Athletic fixture congestion intensifies
Wigan Athletic's League One trip to Swindon on Saturday (January 2) was postponed after a pitch inspection.
A frozen surface at the County Ground put paid to any hope of fulfilling the fixture, with the pitch deemed unplayable by officials during their 11am inspection.
Details regarding the re-arranged fixture will be published in due course, subject to availability in the schedule.
Wednesday's trip to Wimbledon is already an 'extra' fixture, having been postponed due to Covid in the opposition ranks just before Christmas.
