Wigan Athletic forward departure confirmed
Josh Windass has become the latest big name to leave Wigan Athletic, with the forward completing a permanent move to Sheffield Wednesday.
The 26-year-old had been expected to join the Owls earlier in the summer, having spent the second half of last term on loan at Hillsborough.
However, the move was held up due to the finances involved - with Latics owing his former club, Rangers, £500,000 from his transfer in 2018.
That has now been ironed out, and Windass joins the long list of first-teamers to have left Latics since the end of last term.
He's believed to have signed a two-year deal, with an option for a third year.
