Wigan Athletic manager expected to announce departure
Paul Cook is expected to part company with Wigan Athletic in the next 24 hours.
It's the latest blow to a club that is already reeling from being placed into administration on July 1 and, as a direct result, losing its Championship status.
The club are still hopeful of winning an appeal on Friday which would see their 12-point deduction - and relegation to League One - overturned.
But their future will be without 53-year Cook, whose three-year stint saw him win the League One title, and then collect enough points on the field to stay up in the last two seasons.
