Wigan Athletic move to bolster backroom department with familiar face
Gary Caldwell has lined up a very familiar face to fill Wigan Athletic’s goalkeeping coach vacancy.
Former Liverpool stopper Tony Warner left the club last month after only a year with Latics, having been brought to Wigan by Ryan Lowe last summer.

And Caldwell is understood to have already identified a new coach to guide Sam Tickle, Tom Watson and any other goalies Latics bring in this summer following the departures of Toby Savin and Matty Corran.
The man in question is 57-year-old Kevin Miller, who worked with Caldwell during the last four seasons at Exeter City.
Miller made more than 700 appearances during a long and distinguished playing career that included two spells at Exeter, as well as time with Birmingham City, Watford, Crystal Palace, Barnsley, Bristol Rovers, Southampton, Torquay United and Newquay.
He is poised to become the latest figure to swap the south coast for the north west, with Caldwell also bringing David Perkins (assistant manager) and Lauren Jones (head of performance analyst) with him to the Brick Community Stadium.
Caldwell spoke glowingly about Miller when bringing the Cornishman to Exeter back in December 2022.
"He's been fantastic since he's been here," Caldwell told BBC Sport. "We had a thorough interview process where we invited candidates, and he was up against those candidates and he came out on top.
"I think he's a great addition to the staff that has been changing gradually since I came to the club and he fits in perfectly in terms of his character and personality, but he's also going to add that experience that he's had throughout his career."
