Wigan Athletic '˜not that far away', insists Dan Burn
Latics reached the heady heights of third place after beating Bristol City on September 22.
Since then, however, they’ve picked up only four points from the last six matches to slip into the bottom half of the table.

But Burn says the competitive nature of the division gives Latics chance to move back up just as quickly as they’ve slipped down.
“It’s such a tight league, even a win can move you up a few places,” he told the Wigan Post.
“You’ve got teams just outside the relegation zone who aren’t too far away from the play-off picture.

“They were up to seventh last week, and you’d never have said that when we played them.
“We just need to get back to it and get a few wins together, and we’re more than capable given the strength of the squad.”
Latics are currently in 14th position, five points adrift of the play-offs, but only eight points clear of the relegation zone, ahead of the Sky Sports-televised encounter against Leeds (kick-off 1.30pm).
