Wigan Athletic report social media comment to police
Wigan Athletic have confirmed that a recent posting on social media has been referred to the police.
A statement on the club’s website reads: Wigan Athletic and the DW Stadium have a zero tolerance policy on comments deemed unsuitable or unlawful and will take steps to impose a ban on anyone involved in posting such comments, until such time as the police have completed their investigation.
If any sanctions are imposed, the club will communicate details as appropriate.
