The 21-year-old, who has previously been loaned out to Morecambe, Oldham and Shrewsbury, will complete the switch, subject to FA and EFL approval and international clearance.

And he will go straight into the squad for this weekend's season-opener at Ross County.

“I can’t wait to get started,” said Lang. “I’ve only heard good things about the club. It sounds like the perfect place for me.

“The manager has told me all about how we train, how we play and how he can improve me as a player.

"I think I can really push on in this team and help them.

“I spoke to Cedric Kipre about coming here as well and he spoke very highly of the club.

"It was a chance I absolutely had to take.”

The Latics academy graduate scored three goals in 20 appearances for Shrewsbury last season.
