Sean McGurk put Latics ahead inside two minutes, with Arthur Lomax and Tom Costello heading against the woodwork before half-time.

And Latics were made to pay for not hammering home their advantage when they were pegged back 16 minutes time.

Patrick Maguire levelled for the visitors, who had Daniel Jebbison sent off in the closing stages.
