And Wigan crowned the occasion with a stunning 27-12 victory against Leeds at St James’ Park.
What made the emphatic victory so much sweeter was it came just a week after Shaun Wane’s side were thumped 58-16 at Catalans.
Matty Bowen scored two tries while Joe Burgess, George Williams and Dan Sarginson also went over against the Rhinos.
