Euro gold for teenage ace Keely Hodgkinson
Keely Hodgkinson claimed gold for Great Britain in the women's 800m final at the European Indoor Championships.
Hodgkinson, who turned 19 this week, held off Polish pair Joanna Jozwik and Angelika Cichocka to claim victory in a time of 2:03.88.
The Leigh athlete is coached by Wigan's Trevor Painter and mentored by Jenny Meadows.
Fellow Britons Ellie Baker and Isabelle Boffey finished in fourth and sixth places respectively in the final in Poland.
Hodgkinson told the BBC: "You never understand the shock of when it actually happens - you picture it in your head so many times but when the reality comes through it's very different.
"I didn't want to think about the pressure because I'm only 19 and I'm still learning.
"I wanted to take the same relaxed state as I had through the heats and the semi-final, and it really paid off because I really believed in myself."
Meanwhile, Emily Borthwick finished eighth in the high jump final.
After claiming a new PB to reach the final, the Wigan Harrier - like Hodgkinson, making her debut at senior GB level in this tournament - had a best clearance of 1.85m.
