2:10: The step up in trip gives BUSHYPARK something to prove in addition to his 15lb rise, but the style of his Hexham win suggests that he has the potential to be better than that revised mark suggests.

J’Ai Froid is well handicapped but also unraced for 638 days and perhaps the market will guide with him. If he needs the run, the danger to Bushypark may well be the unexposed 8yo Click And Collect for the in-form Jennie Candlish.[Richard Austen]

12:45: It will interesting to see who has the market confidence behind them because their are blemishes on all their records.

Another chance is given to TORN AND FRAYED, who had so much good form last season. Second on the list is Dr Newland’s acquisition Roman Rock.[Richard Austen]

13:15: Slight preference is for DOC PENFRO following the solid performance on his chase debut at Cheltenham but Espoir De Romay has looked good on when registering his wins and the move back up in trip appeals for Redford Road.

While fourth on the list, ex-French Royal Pagaille is a youngster who has not had much chance in Britain to show what he can do.[Richard Austen]

13:50: This is surely between just the three who won on their hurdling debuts but it’s not an easy choice.

Adrimel has least to prove in a slog and the other two may well have to show rather more restraint than they did last time but Ranch Hand brings very good Flat form and QUALISMART looked a very bright prospect on his debut.[Richard Austen]

14:20: Burtons Well and Seeyouatmidnight have often run well when fresh and have to be respected, while Indy Five went close on his recent stable/seasonal debut and could be thereabouts once more.

However, THE DUTCHMAN (nap) has run really well on both course visits and made an encouraging return from a long absence over hurdles at Wetherby in October. He is the selection ahead of Burtons Well.[Ben Hutton]

14:55: A case can be made for most of these. MINELLA CHARMER was 2-2 in 2019, returning from some time off on each occasion, and he’s taken to land a belated hat-trick on his first outing of 2020.

Course winner Ebony Jewel is open to improvement in this second season over hurdles and he is second choice, ahead of Better Getalong who is on a competitive mark.

Goobinator, Hijack, Oscars Leader and The Cob are also respected, although the last-named could do with settling better.[Ben Hutton]

15:30: Charlie Longsdon has done very well with Snow Leopardess, a half-sister to PARRAMOUNT, and Brian Hughes’s mount gets the nod. Olly Murphy has a healthy strike-rate in bumpers and Tamar Bridge is feared most, ahead of Season In The Sun. [Ben Hutton]
