Bevan French vows: There's much more to come
Bevan French may have scored two tries in his first game of the year, but he has promised there is much more to come.
French, who was late returning to the UK from Australia made his return on the wing in the 22-12 victory against Castleford on Thursday night.
He bagged a try in each half and also showed other quality touches in both attach and defence.
And French said: “It has been five months since my last game so it was a shock to the system but it was good to get through it.
“I’m happy to fill in wherever as long as we get the win.
“I’m probably a seven out of 10 at the moment but hopefully come the end of the year I will be up around that 10 mark.”
He has no problems playing on the wing given Zak Hardaker’s early season form at full-back.
He told WiganTV: “Zak has been killing it. He’s been our best player every week and he really deserves it.”
Wigan are at home to Hull FC this Thursday in a Sky-televised Super League game.
