Escare in line for competitive debut

New recruit Morgan Escare will make his competitive debut for Wigan on Saturday.

The off-season capture from Catalans Dragons is named in Shaun Wane’s squad to face Salford in round one of the new season at the AJ Bell Stadium.

He will be joined by returning stars Tommy Leuluai and Joe Burgess, after the pair returned from stints in the NRL.

Prop Tony Clubb has been passed fit after missing more than half of last season with a neck injury.

More than 2,000 Wiganers are expected to travel to the game with tickets available right up until kick-off and from the DW Stadium Ticket Office until 4pm tomorrow.
