George Burgess named in Wigan Warriors squad for trip to Huddersfield Giants

George Burgess has been back in training

The marquee prop recruit, who aggravated a hip injury in the Super League opener against Warrington a month ago, has been named in the 21-man squad.

If he returns then Adrian Lam will need to either leave out one of the props from last week - Tony Clubb, Ollie Partington, Liam Byrne, Joe Bullock or Mitch Clark - or halfback Harry Smith, who came off the bench in the 26-12 win over Hull FC.

Halfback Jake Shorrocks has also come into the provisional panel, with the duo replacing Joe Greenwood - who has moved to Leeds on loan - and Joe Burgess from last week.

Chris Hankinson and Ethan Havard missed out last week.
