Jackson Hastings still has time to decide whether he will stay at Wigan next year or return to the NRL.

The Australian halfback, 24, has a 'get out' clause in his two-year deal allowing him to leave for free at the end of his first season. He had until the end of June to make a decision but it is understood the deadline has been relaxed in wake of the disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

And Hastings - linked with Canterbury Bulldogs and New Zealand Warriors - suggested he has yet to make a decision, with his focus on returning to action with Wigan in little more than a month.

"At this moment in time all my focus is on getting right for the 2020 season restart! So no need to tag me in every article you see. I’ll be straight up. Let’s go."

It is unclear if the 'get out' clause would allow him to be released to leave for rugby union. Harlequins, where Sean Long is on the coaching staff, and Gloucester have previously been linked with the former Salford, Manly and Sydney Roosters playmaker.
