The Wiganer scored Salford’s only try in last year’s title-decider before moving to his hometown club.

And with Dom Manfredi suffering a setback in his recovery from a knee injury - he has been sidelined by a minor clean-out operation - Bibby looks on course to keep the right wing spot for Thursday’s crunch semi-final against Hull FC at the DW Stadium.

“It would be great to play in another Grand Final, and hopefully win it,” said the ex-Orrell St James junior.

“That’s the one thing I really want to do, win a Super League title.

“The way we’ve been playing, we genuinely believe we can go all the way.”

Bibby, who prefers centre, has already chalked up 17 games for Wigan this season – only five players have figured more often.

“I didn’t expect to play as many games as I have this year, I’ve been quite –I don’t want to say lucky – but injuries happen in our game and with some people out, I’ve had my chance,” said the 24-year-old.

“These past few games I’ve felt I deserve to play, I’ve been quite happy with my form.

“I prefer it at centre but right now the spot is on the wing and I’m happy to play anywhere, the team has to come first.”
