Dan Sarginson may have to wait a bit longer to make his Wigan return.

The centre has missed the last three games after recovering from a shoulder injury which hampered him in the first two rounds.

Wane had planned to bring him back into the fold either last weekend – or for this week’s trip to Castleford.

But the coach may keep him on ice and give him more time to regain his strength.

“I might leave him another week,” said Wane.

“I’m not going to be pressured by anybody, there’s no need to rush him back.

“Plus, I thought Batty (John Bateman) went well at centre.”

Even if Sarginson is held back, he will have one other decision to make.

Joel Tomkins - who has started this season well - is likely to be back in the mix after a swollen knee kept him out of the team which beat Wakefield 30-18.

His absence saw Willie Isa move to the second-row, to good effect, and Frenchman Romain Navarrete come into the side for his first appearance of the year.

One of those three players – Tomkins, Isa or Navarrete – may miss out. Wane would also have the option to leave out Taulima Tautai or Ryan Sutton.
