Earlier this year, fans were invited to vote on the new home kit from six designs that were created by the club’s official technical partner, Erreà, with prototypes and photographs released of Warriors players modelling each design.

Season-ticket holders were asked to vote online for their favourite design, while there was also an option to vote in Warriors World - with more than 2,000 doing so.

Fans were asked to put the shirts in order of preference, and over 50 per cent voted for the winning design, with thin white horizontal pinstripes positioned at increasing intervals.

The nearest design, the cherry and white chequered shirt, picked up 18 per cent of the vote.

The new first-team home kit is now available to purchase online while sales at Warriors World will commence from 12 noon on Tuesday.

Warriors World in the Grand Arcade will open until 8pm on Thursday to allow fans attending the Christmas lights switch-on in Wigan town centre the opportunity to purchase their shirt.

The shirt will be priced at £47 for adults, £35 for juniors and £40 for mini kits (which includes shirt and shorts and an exclusive presentation box).

To celebrate the launch, 2017 season-ticket holders will be entitled to 10 per cent off all items in Warriors World (excluding sale items) until Sunday on production of the voucher which they will receive via email.

As part of the club’s new commercial strategy the shirt is cleaner and will carry less sponsors logos than previous years, with main club partner 188BET remaining across the chest.

Starcom will feature across the upper back and Caliper Engineering on the lower back.

A special ‘champions’ version of new Betfred Super League logo patch will be available to purchase to add to the shirt once these have been released by the governing body’s supplier.

All logos are sublimated into the design, apart from the club crest which has been embroidered to a very high specification, befitting the heritage of the famous logo.

The club will unveil the 2017 away kit when sales commence at the beginning of December.
