We need to get back into the rhythm quickly, says Adrian Lam

Adrian Lam is working on ways to ensure a four-month lay-off does not snap the momentum of their bright start to 2020.

Super League and the RFL are monitoring developments in the NRL – which returns this weekend – and in football in this country, which is hoping to be back up and running next month.

Lam admits the lockdown will be easier once they have an end-date to aim for.

And while he is constantly looking for areas to improve and develop, he is grateful they didn’t have big questions to address when the season was halted in mid-March.

They had won five of their opening seven league games to take an early lead in the table.

“When we broke, we were on top of the table and we were playing some good rugby league,” said Lam.

“The important thing for us is to make sure we just get back into that rhythm and that’s something the coaching staff have to work on.

“We’ve not broken up near the bottom of the table with questions about ourselves or areas to fix up.

“We know what we can do – we were doing it – and while we always want to improve, we need to make sure our attitude remains right in this period so when we are back, we can get back up and running quickly.”
