Wigan-target Jai Field released by Parramatta Eels

Parramatta have confirmed the exit of Jai Field - paving the way for a move to Wigan for 2021.

The livewire halfback was out of contract and his departure from the Eels was expected.

But the NRL club today confirmed 11 players who will be departing after their season ended with defeat in the play-offs.

It is thought he has agreed a deal to join the Warriors next term.

Field, known for his speed, can play full-back or halfback. He has played the necessary games to qualify for a visa.

Adrian Lam has previously said he would be an asset for Wigan. "I've watched him growing up - I've always been a fan - and he's someone who could fit into this club perfectly," he said.
