Liam Farrell has been fined for a Grade B Dangerous Contact in Wigan Warriors’ victory over Wakefield Trinity.

The club captain, who was among the scorers in the 60-0 win at the DW Stadium on Friday night, has been punished for an offence during the game.

He will not face a ban for the charge, but will pay a £250 fine.

Farrell was found guilty of the offence on the following grounds: “Defender uses any part of their body forcefully to twist, bend or otherwise apply pressure to the limb or limbs of an opposing player in a way that involves an unacceptable risk of injury to that player.”
