Wigan Warriors Women 80 minutes away from Wembley after record-breaking win
Wigan Warriors Women are just 80 minutes away from Wembley after their historic 112-0 home win over London Broncos in the quarter-finals of this year’s Challenge Cup saw records tumble.
Denis Betts’ side are on track to return to the national stadium this year, having comfortably beaten Featherstone Rovers (6-78), Cardiff Demons (76-6) and London Broncos (112-0) in their Challenge Cup campaign so far, having booked their place in the semi-finals.

The Warriors ran in 19 tries in a game that saw many records broken, both individually and collectively, including the number of tries scored in a game, surpassing their previous best of 18 against Huddersfield Giants in May 2024.
Meanwhile, it was the Warriors Women’s biggest ever win and biggest winning margin, beating their previous best of 106-6 against Barrow Raiders in May last year.
On an individual note, halfback Izzy Rowe set the record for most points scored in a game after racking up a points tally of 44, with two tries and 18 goals to her name, beating the previous record of 34 points by Georgia Wilson (2021) and Jenna Foubister (2025).
Rowe’s 18 goals also saw her beat the previous best of 15 goals by Emma Knowles.
England star Rowe has also equalled a club record, scoring 44 points in a single game, matching the legendary Jim Sullivan against Flimby & Fothergill back in 1925, when he scored 22 goals.
Elsewhere, Cumbrian winger Caitlin Padgett, who came through the club’s academy, became the 25th player to score on debut for the Warriors Women.
