The 30-year-old outside-back spent the 2026 campaign in the Championship with Oldham, scoring 17 tries in 29 appearances for the Roughyeds.

Bibby will return to Salford ahead of next season, having come through the club’s youth ranks before making 78 appearances across five seasons between 2015 and 2019. He also scored in Salford’s Grand Final defeat to St Helens in 2019.

The outside-back joined his hometown club Wigan ahead of the 2020 campaign, scoring 27 tries in 74 appearances for the Warriors and helping Matt Peet’s side lift the Challenge Cup at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2022.

He also played a part in Wigan securing the League Leaders’ Shield in 2020 under Adrian Lam and featured in their Grand Final defeat to St Helens that year.

After three seasons in cherry and white, the Wigan-born back joined Huddersfield Giants, where he spent three seasons before moving to Oldham.

Bibby’s career has now come full circle, having agreed a one-year contract with Salford for 2027.

“It’s kind of surreal,” Bibby told Salford RLFC’s YouTube channel. “I never thought I would make it as a rugby player, but obviously this is where I started off.

“I’ve gained a bit of experience. I’ve played in two of them (Grand Finals), and we’ve lost them both, but I’ve gained a bit of experience playing with some great players, and hopefully I can bring that kind of knowledge to the lads here, some of the young lads.

“Hopefully I’ve matured into a better player, and hopefully I’m a better player now than I was back then because I was a bit green, but hopefully they (the fans) see a bit of a different version of myself.

“I’m really grateful for the support back then, and I’m really excited to be back, so I can’t wait to get going.”
