England suffered a heavy defeat to Australia in the Women’s Rugby League World Cup on Saturday

England went down to a heavy 78-0 defeat to defending champions Australia in their second Rugby League World Cup group match in Perth on Saturday.

Seven Wigan Warriors players - Anna Davies, Molly Jones, Izzy Rowe, Jenna Foubister, Eva Hunter, Meg Williams and Lucie Sams - featured for Stuart Barrow’s side at HBF Park. Next up for England is a clash with Samoa in Wollongong on Friday.
