Wigan Warriors boss provides Jack Farrimond HIA update as Bevan French return assessed
Jack Farrimond is all good after leaving Wigan Warriors’ win over Wakefield Trinity for a head injury assessment
Wigan Warriors halfback Jack Farrimond is all good after being forced to leave the action in the latter stages of their win over Wakefield Trinity.

The 20-year-old produced another stellar performance to help the Warriors claim an impressive 48-10 win over Wakefield at the DIY Kitchens Stadium on Friday night to climb to fourth in the Super League table.
Farrimond started and played the 50 minutes before coming off for Bevan French to make his comeback, and Farrimond later re-entered the action for a stint at hooker, but he was forced to come off for a head injury assessment after his gumshield flashed.
Speaking after the game, Peet said the homegrown halfback was all good, meaning Farrimond will be available to face York Knights on Saturday.
“It was his gumshield - we were all perplexed,” said Peet. “He’d only been on two seconds, I don’t even think he’d make a tackle, so I don’t know if he bit the post or something, but his gumshield flagged up, so we were scratching our heads at that one.
“We wanted to give him the last nine or 10 minutes in there (at hooker), and it’s another way to get him on the field for us, and I was looking forward to seeing him having to dig his shoulder in at some point, but the gumshield put a stop to that.”
Meanwhile, French played around 30 minutes as he continues building his game up after recently returning from a three-month injury lay-off with a significant hamstring injury.
The Australian was at his brilliant best with the ball in hand, registering two assists - one for Zach Eckersley and one for Liam Farrell.
“Some strong contest in his D as well,” Peet added on French. “He has just topped up with the conditioning staff, so it is about building him back up and integrating him into the team at the right times, but it is important that we continue to utilise the rest of our squad as well.
“He has probably added a layer to what he did a couple of weeks ago.”
Next up for the Warriors is a trip to the LNER Community Stadium to face York Knights on Saturday afternoon, 3pm kick-off.
