Des Seabrook funeral details

Members and friends wanting to pay their respects to Des Seabrook and family are invited to meet at the Orrell Water Parks ‪at 12 noon on Tuesday ahead of his funeral at 1pm.

A guard of honour will be formed on both sides of Lodge Road, where the pavements are much wider than on Church Street.

Parking is available at St Luke’s Church and Water Parks, and will be generally less congested.

Mourners are reminded not to park on St Luke’s Drive as the cortege will be driving through past Des’ previous address.

The full cortege route and times are as follows:

11.45am: Campbell Court then Spencer Road;

11.55am Lower St Stephens Street;

12.15pm: ORUFC Church Street;

12.20pm: St Luke’s Drive;

12.40pm: Wigan Parish Church;

1.pm: Wigan Crematorium.

Social distancing measures remain in place, and safety is of paramount importance.
