Five-piece Bigfoot have inked a multi-album deal with Frontiers Music, putting them on the same roster as some extremely well-known exponents of power riffs and crunching anthems.

The band, comprising lead vocalist Antony Ellis, guitarists Sam Millar and Mick McCullagh, bassist Matt Avery and drummer Tom Aspinall, came to the attention of the label through its two releases, a self-titled debut EP and its recent follow-up Stone Soldiers.

The group will now head for the studio to record its debut full-length album later this summer and spoke of its delight at joining the label.

In a statement the band said: “We are absolutely thrilled to join the Frontiers family alongside so many of our musical influences.

“We hope that together we will have a long and successful relationship and we can’t wait to release our debut album in 2017.”

A post on Bigfoot’s Facebook page added: “It has been torture having to keep this quiet but we can finally shout it out.

“Thank you to everyonne that has supported us over the past two years and helped make this happen.”

The record deal means Bigfoot find themselves in illustrious company as Frontiers Music is already home to globe-trotting and hugely-successful rock acts including Whitesnake, Toto, Journey, Extreme and Jorn.

Bigfoot’s music includes influences from across the rock spectrum, with its heavier moments drawing on the likes of Guns N’ Roses, Iron Maiden and Led Zeppelin for inspiration and the group also experimenting with quieter moments and acoustic passages reflecting the musicians’ enthusiasm for groups such as The Eagles.

The band has played a string of top festival dates including appearances at Bloodstock Open Air (BOA), one of Britain’s largest metal bashes, and Hard Rock Hell.

Since forming in 2014 the group has toured almost constantly, performing shows around the region as well as across the UK and as far afield as Greece.
