Brian Wilson - the legendary founding member of The Beach Boys – has announced a new Greatest Hits tour.

The musician will play songs and hits from across his career, including choice highlights from the band that made him famous.

The UK dates take place in May and June 2020, and will see Wilson calling into Brighton, London, Birmingham, and many more before rounding things up in Cambridge.

But it’s his date at Blackpool’s Opera House on 16 June that obviously has us the most excited. Wilson will be joined on tour by his former band mates Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin.

May 31 – The Dome, Brighton

June 1 – Royal Albert Hall, London

June 4 – SEC Armadillo, Glasgow

June 6 – The Sage, Gateshead

June 8 – Symphony Hall, Birmingham

June 9 – Royal Concert Hall, Nottingham

June 10 – Bridgewater Hall, Manchester

June 12 – Bournemouth International Centre, Bournemouth

June 13 – Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff

June 14 – Town Hall, Leeds

June 16 – Opera House, Blackpool

June 17 – Corn Exchange, Cambridge

Tickets will be on sale from 10am on Friday 6 March.

They will be available through Ticketmaster.

What might Wilson play?

With a Greatest Hits set expected to cover Wilson’s career from The Beach Boys to his solo output, there is a wealth of potential tracks that could get a live airing when he steps on stage.

Beach Boys classics like ‘Wouldn’t It Be Nice’ and ‘Good Vibrations’ will likely be performed, as will Wilson hits like ‘Wonderful’ and ‘Heroes and Villains’.
