Turin Brakes - Lost Property: Not a bad track on the album

I'm firmly in the camp that Bob Dylan's best work came when he went electric.

And likewise, Turin Brakes' fourth album, Dark On Fire, is their strongest work.

Almost a decade after that release, and a full 15 years after their debut, the band - original members Olly Knights and Gale Paridjanian, and collaborators Rob Allum and Eddie Myer - mix both that style and the acoustic driven music of their first two albums on their seventh LP, Lost Property.

There are plenty of big choruses, such as on Keep Me Around and Save You, while the band shows it can still write folk-inspired indie rock on par with its earlier work on album opener 96.

In truth, there isn't a bad track on the album - but there isn't a truly standout one either.

A decent, if unspectacular addition to their discography.
