Wing Fest Manchester 2020: dates, venue and how to get tickets for the chicken wing extravaganza

The festival is “a celebration of the mighty chicken wing”, and proudly stakes a claim to being “the world’s most popular chicken wing festival.”

Every year the event showcases the best chicken wings the UK has to offer, with 5,000 lucky ticket holders and a judging panel deciding who really does do the best wings.

In 2020, it’s estimated that some 70,000 chicken wings will be served to fans by 20 different street food traders, restaurants and BBQ teams.

There will also be eating competitions on the day, though spaces will be limited, and all competitions are very popular. Ticket holders can sign up on the day, and announcements will be made from the main stage when the sign up is open.

When is Wing Fest Manchester 2020?

Wing Fest Manchester 2002 takes place on Saturday 15 August and Sunday 16 August 2020.

Where is it being held?

Wing Fest Manchester 2020 takes place at First Street, South in Manchester.

The organisers note that Wing Fest is being held at “a brand new space, that does not yet have an official name.”

The best way to get there is to head south on First Street, and you will be lead directly to the event. Look out for the Wing Fest way finders from First Street.

How do I get tickets?

Tickets for the event are available through Wing Fest’s Manchester’s official website.

Early Bird tickets for both days include a Wing Fest signature trucker hat and Frank's RedHot sauce, and cost £17.50. They’ll also grant you access to the event an hour earlier than those with Standard tickets, but you’ll only be able to stay for 60-minutes.

Standard tickets grant you access to the whole event, and come with the perks of the Early Bird tickets. They cost £20.

VIP tickets for the event cost £100, but for that you get fast track entry, access to a VIP seating area, table service, wings from 10 traders delivered across the day, five drinks token, a Wing Fest signature trucker hat, a Wing Fest t-shirt, and Frank's RedHot sauce.
