And this year the show will be Mother Goose. Written by the much-missed Bill Collins, it runs from November 25 to December 12 with matinees at 2.15pm on November 28 and 29, and December 5 and 6.

This year’s treat is directed by Joe Wiswell, choreographed by Louise Hawkes and with musical direction from Mark Lloyd.

A WLT spokesperson said: “It’s that time of year already and time to get your tickets for the best panto in the region. Set in a magical Pantoland, it’s going to be full of the usual madness, fun, music and dancing.

WLT’s panto is very traditional but always has something to say about the today’s world. There’ll be some popular familiar faces and some new talent. Mother Goose is guaranteed to have audiences cheering.

“Audience participation is absolutely required, the baddies need the boos they deserve and the goodies need cheering on, so tune up your vocal cords in advance.

“It’s a great family tradition and is often a child’s first visit to the theatre (over three years advised) and they’re always captivated by the lights, the laugher, the music and magic.

“Wigan Little Theatre’s panto is so popular that you’ll need to be quick to get your tickets.

“Do yourself a favour, stay local and save money. At WLT you get professional level production at amateur level prices, with tickets from £9 on preview night, £12 concessionary and £15 standard all other performances.2

Ticket are available at the box office in person or by telephone on 01942 242561 between 7.30pm and 9pm throughout productions or anytime online at www.wiganlittletheatre.co.uk
