Welfare cuts
Wigan campaign against welfare cuts
Wigan campaign against welfare cuts including Wigan retired members, Unison , Greater Manchester Disabled People Against The Cuts , met with representatives from Josh Simons office MP for Makerfield today. Sadly Lisa Nandy has not responded to our correspondence.
We explained how the cuts is going to push up to half a million disabled people in to poverty.
We explained how changing the eligibility criteria will affect high percentage of disabled people.
Many affected will have voted Labour not expecting Tory policies.
Below are figures for three constituencies.
We are pleased Jo Platt is supporting amendment to the bill.
We asked that Josh Simmons do the same.
