A new coffee morning is launching in Leigh for people living with Parkinson’s
Parkinson’s UK has announced it is starting a new coffee morning in Leigh for people affected by the condition.
A new coffee morning for people living with Parkinson’s is being launched.

Hosted by Parkinson’s UK, the event is for anyone who has been diagnosed with the condition, their loved ones and carers, to go along for a cuppa and a chat.
The first meeting will take place from 10.30am to noon on Tuesday, April 28 at Leigh Miners Welfare Institute. It is free to attend and no booking required. Launched during Parkinson’s Awareness Month, Parkinson's UK is looking for volunteers to help run the coffee morning on a regular basis.
Helen Sturman, area development manager - North West for Parkinson’s UK, said: “We’re excited to be launching a new coffee morning that will help local people living with Parkinson’s and their carers and loved ones, and we hope it will be supported by other members of the community.
“By sparing just a few hours a month, you can make a significant difference to people living with Parkinson's in your local community. Volunteering is a fantastic way to gain new experiences, meet people, and try something new. If you’re interested in volunteering with us or have any questions about the cafe, please get in touch. ” For information about the coffee morning or to get involved in volunteering, contact Helen on 07768 834 115 or [email protected].
