They will bring A Night at the Musicals to The Swinley on Friday, July 24.

The fund-raising event will celebrate the magic of musical theatre while raising vital money to support the work of Wigan Autistic Theatre Company.

It will feature acclaimed musical theatre performer Gary Davis, popular vocal group The Tenor Ladies, vocal coach Claire Cannon and performances from members of Wigan Autistic Theatre Company.

Guests can look forward to an evening packed with musical theatre favourites, including live performances, a musical theatre quiz and an auction of top regional theatre posters.

The event follows a successful visit earlier this year to the Royal Exchange Theatre to see Singin’ in the Rain, which was the first time some members of he company had been to the theatre.

The company aims to create inclusive opportunities where autistic people can develop confidence, creativity and friendships through performing arts.

Martin Spencer, from Wigan Autistic Theatre Company, said:  “Events like this help us continue providing opportunities for our members to express themselves, build confidence and enjoy the world of theatre. We would love the local community to come along, support us and enjoy what promises to be a very special night.”

A Night at the Musicals takes place at The Swinley, on Coppull Lane, with doors opening at 7pm and the show starting at 7.30 pm.

Tickets cost £7 in advance and will be available on the door.
