The date of a new Wigan vegan festival has been announced
Plant-based food, drinks and other products will take centre stage as Wigan hosts a new vegan festival later this year
A spectacular new vegan festival is to be held Wigan in September.

Organised by Vegan Events UK, the festival will be a plant-powered celebration featuring plant-based foods and drinks, cruelty-free beauty, skincare, home wares and gifts, plus talks, demonstrations, workshops and information on a vegan lifestyle.
And with free entry for accompanied under-16s, it’s perfect for families.
The festival, at The Brick Community Stadium on Sunday September 13, will feature over 50 vegan stalls, including a wide range of food vendors offering delicious plant-based cuisine.
There will be sweet treats, scrumptious vegan cakes, refreshing drinks and free samples, so you can try before you buy.
As well as food, there will be sustainable fashion and ethical clothing stalls, cruelty-free beauty that is kind to both you and animals, plant-based health tips to boost your wellbeing and inspiring talks and demos where you can learn from vegan experts.
Festival organiser and founder of Vegan Events UK, Victoria Bryceson, said: “Since 2017, we've been bringing the best of vegan living to communities across the UK.
“Our festivals offer a one-stop destination where you can discover amazing plant-based products, support small family-run businesses, and see just how delicious, accessible, and varied vegan living can be.
“Join us at our first Wigan Vegan Festival and explore the vibrant world of compassionate living.
“Whether you are vegan, vegetarian, flexitarian, or want to find out more about plant-based living or a vegan lifestyle, or simply want to enjoy a great day out, everyone is welcome.”

Over 10 years, other festivals organised by Vegan Events UK around the country have featured hundreds of traders specialising in ethical and sustainable vegan products.
A spokesperson said: “From vegan food to sustainable fashion and animal welfare charities – they offer something special, showcasing the best of their products.
“These amazing plant-powered celebrations feature a thriving community of like-minded businesses and organisations in a marketplace that makes a real difference.
“So if you are looking for a vegan space with no need for label-checking, lots of new products and delicious food you simply cannot buy at the supermarket that is also family friendly with free entry for children under 16… you've come to the right place.
“Wigan Vegan Festival will feature a wide range of stalls offering a huge selection of cooked foods, pies, cakes, chocolates, sandwiches and salads, beauty and skincare products, candles, cheeses, jewellery, crafts, healthy treats, sweet treats, clothing, drinks, juices, smoothies, charity merchandise, free samples and more.”
Featured stalls include Miracle's Mission, a non-profit animal welfare organisation that works with sick, injured and disabled animals worldwide.
Its mission is to provide a place of safety for animals in danger, to educate on the needs of neutering both pets and strays and to neuter stray dogs and cats to prevent the birth of more animals onto the streets.
It also rehabilitates and re-homes dogs in need, often with disabilities, from its UK rescue base.
The September 13 festival, runs from 10.30am to 4.30pm. Standard entry is £5 (under-16s free) and VIP tickets are £15, to include a goody bag full of vegan products, samples, discounts and offers.
